The Power of the Present Tense

I AM.

Two of the strongest words a man or woman can say.

Or write.

Or think.

Whatever the way you do it, you can’t deny the power of your dreams and goals said in the affirmative and in the present tense.

The last part’s particularly important. Wanna know why?

It turns out our subconscious mind only creates your vision of the world in large part to what you say…

What you say and think about yourself dictates what you’ll see externally.

This is why the rich get richer and the poor get poorer.

Think about it. Simone Biles did not become an Olympic Gold Medal by repeating to herself how much of a failure she was!

If you want something, it starts with a thought and burning desire.

The clearer you can picture this, the stronger the feeling of already having it becomes in your mind and body.

Thinking up the best version of yourself and feeling how THAT PERSON would feel is the first step to becoming who you want to be. This sort of trains your subconscious mind and the cells of your body to do more of what will bring this vision of you to live!

It can sound complicated, but it’s not all science fiction. It is a Universal Law! The Law of Attraction.

This states: “The law of attraction is the attractive, magnetic power of the Universe that draws similar energies together. The law of attraction manifests through your thoughts, by drawing to your thoughts and ideas of a similar kind, people who think like you, and also corresponding situations and circumstances. It is the law and power that brings together people of similar interests, who unite into various groups, such as political groups, sports teams, sports fans, fraternities, etc.” – Remez Sasson

BUT BE WARNED!

This whole “visualization thing” doesn’t work if you’re not going to put in the work it takes to actually achieve it.

Think of it this way:

If you think of a Lamborghini but have the work ethic of a Taurus, you’ll never truly DESERVE a Lamborghini, and therefore (outside of winning some crazy lottery) you’ll NEVER HAVE ONE!

In closing, make sure you guys are writing and affirming in the present tense! There’s a big, BIG difference between I WILL have and I DO have!
